James, a father of five, wrote on the bill, “No charge for this lady under any circumstances. We will be available 24 hours to help her and keep her as comfortable as possible.”
“A lot of people close to me ask: why are you getting yourself into debt? Why are you doing this?” he said.
“To me, debt is debt… I would rather owe some money to somebody and another person be alive and happy and safe.”
THIS IS THE INVOICE FROM PLUMBER, JAMES ANDERSON IN BURNLEY AFTER FIXING A LADY’S BOILER – GIVES ME A LITTLE HOPE FOR HUMANITY AFTER ALL
If you’ve lost faith in mankind, worry not: 52-year-old plumber James Anderson is here to restore it.

This generous man with a golden heart fixes things for needy folks for free.
He used to own a firm, which he sold in order to found the non-profit organization Depher.
His debt has escalated to roughly $9,940 since he began offering free or low-cost plumbing for families in need in 2017. But he feels it is little in comparison to the enjoyment of individuals he assists.

“It’s an ethos that’s in my heart and it will always stay there.”
He has decided to invite people to join his firm in order to provide more needy persons with the assistance they require.
I’ve spoken to quite a few engineers around the country and they’re all for it… it’s just getting the funding,” he said.
“I don’t want any person who is elderly and disabled in this country, in this day and age, to die or suffer because of a cold home or a lack of funding to repair the boiler.”
“It shouldn’t be happening – that number should be down to zero. Simple as that.”
Many people became aware of James’ efforts when his invoice went viral, and he was able to receive $100,000 in donations. He no longer has to struggle to keep his non-profit solvent.

James truly is a one-of-a-kind individual. Nowadays, it’s uncommon to find someone who prioritizes the happiness of others over their own, but James demonstrates that such people exist and make the world a better place.
